Teachers can quickly and easily sign on to their account to post reminders, upload and attach visual aids and permission forms, list homework assignments, update the class calendar, and/or post a summary of the learning goals for the day. Parents and students simply sign in with individual accounts to view teachers' postings.

Voila! Upcoming assignments and classroom news are clearly outlined. The answer to, "What did you learn in school today?" is a log-in away. Finding crumpled, untimely notes at the bottom of a backpack is history!

Classroom Booster is a comprehensive, convenient, on-line tool which connects parents, teachers, and students. This communication tool has been thoroughly researched and carefully designed to clarify classroom expectations and enhance student academic achievement. This user-friendly system assists teachers with their planning and organization, keeps parents and students apprised of upcoming events and ultimately augments an effective relationship amongst all concerned.

History - Why Classroom Booster Was Created

Classroom Booster is the solution!

Classroom Booster was created by teachers for teachers to clarify classroom expectations, events and assignments and to enhance communication among teachers, parents and students. Teachers, parents and students identified a lack of communication in the areas of classroom and assignment expectations. This breakdown in communication was found to frustrate teachers, affect students' academic achievements and leave parents without information or feedback for far too long. Over the past two years, research was undertaken to gather data and feedback from teachers, parents and students themselves to determine what is needed to best correct the issues. The results show that parents wish to be regularly informed with respect to their child's education and teachers wish to remedy misunderstanding of tasks and provide a secure one-way communication system, by which to get helpful or critical information to parents. With teacher and parental feedback, we at Optimal Learning™ have been able to improve, refine and tailor Classroom Booster to meet the needs of teachers and parents, resulting in student academic success.

I have been using Classroom Booster for almost 5 months now in my Grade 8 class and I absolutely love it. It saves me so much time and keeps me organized throughout my weeks. At Optimal Learning, we believe that persistent and in-depth research is a requirement in both identifying a problem and configuring a solution. In our research, we have found a disconnect between parents and their child's classroom. Studies have shown that most parents are unclear of what is expected of their child. It is proven that the more a parent is involved in their child's education, the greater the probability their child will succeed. Our team has extensively researched this disconnection in the classroom using numerous methods, including individual and group interviews, field studies and analysis of previous studies. Our Team

Ryan Warriner

Ryan Warriner is the Founder and CEO of Optimal Learning Inc., the parent company and provider of the Classroom Booster system. Ryan's life long passion has been his interest in child learning. After earning a B.A. Degree in Child & Youth Studies he attended Niagara University in Lewiston, New York, U. S. A., to study education.

While attending Niagara University he earned a Masters degree of Science in Education as well as Ontario and New York State teaching certification.

Upon completion of his academics Ryan set out to research teaching methods around the globe traveling outside of North America to teach in public elementary schools in Leeming, Western Australia. He has volunteered countless hours towards child and youth causes involving learning and sports activities. Through these practices, Ryan has collected the information and data, which would lay the groundwork for the designs and concept of the Classroom Booster system.

Larry Smith

Larry Smith is the President of Essential Economics Corporation, a consulting practice that serves a wide range of public and private clients, specializing in the economics of innovation and development.

He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Waterloo, and occasionally advises students who start their own ventures. Larry has been an asset in the early stages of a number of global leaders in business today such as Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry.

Recipient of the University's Distinguished Teacher Award, Larry has taught more than 20,000 students, representing more than ten percent of the alumni population. In the winter 2012, he assigned his 30,000th grade. Larry's video on career failure at ted.com has been viewed more than one million times.

He also maintains a blog at lwsmith.ca for eager young minds and businesses alike.
